The architectural theory installation The City as a Resonance Space is based on our interdisciplinary research on acoustics and the built environment. The essence of our theories is presented in a three-dimensional diagram and layered with an abstract architectural-acoustical walk-in setting.

Addressing in particular architects and urban designers, we aimed at raising awareness to the fact that their creations strongly influence the acoustical quality of an environment.

We regard the complex interrelations between physical environment, users, and acoustics as highly interesting, and to this we sought to offer visitors a both cognitive and sensual approach.
